My time spent with Mandy opened a space in my heart to be honest with my feelings and emotions. Faith-Based Coaching.
Before beginning coaching sessions with Mandy I felt like I was in a perfect storm of swirling emotions crossed with hormonal symptoms & mixed with constant fatigue, and I didn’t know which was which. The first way Mandy helped me was to introduce mindfulness exercises that involved deep breathing and mindfulness. She suggested a book resource that complemented my faith by incorporating Bible verses into these exercises, which was very meaningful to me. Doing these exercises for the past month has had the most beneficial and immediate impact on me! When I begin to worry or stress, I stop and do a breath exercise from my new book – and my heart and body calm down. I have felt more focused than I have in a long time. As we continued with the coaching, Mandy listened intently to my questions and concerns. Through this helpful insight, I ended up incorporating a few new things in my regiment that has aided me in the menopausal department. Since I was showing hormonal improvement, we focused the last 2 sessions on the topic of goal setting. I had a lot of goals at once and a very long “to-do” list, and she walked me through some questions that helped me better pinpoint my priorities. Mandy was a supportive friend who listened to me, encouraged me, and sweetly suggested things as needed. I now feel like I have some control over this season of my life right now. Many times, Mandy just re-affirmed what I already knew. But by listening with a sympathetic, yet objective ear and asking deep, pertinent questions, I was able to sort some issues out & get back on the right path. Mandy is a great coach for women like me: a mom of an almost empty nest while simultaneously struggling with new menopausal symptoms and grief over a loss. That she can relate to me on our shared, faith-based approach to life, was such an added blessing!”
